Free vs. paid features
Most of Pickle Jam is free to use, including the court directory, check-ins, player discovery, and the round-robin generator. This policy applies only to paid registrations — for example, entering a tournament, league, or ladder, or organizing a paid event.
Organizer-set policies
Each paid event is run by its organizer, who sets the registration price and may set an event-specific refund policy (for example, a cutoff date after which registrations are non-refundable). The organizer's policy is shown at the time of registration and applies to that event. Where an organizer's policy conflicts with this general policy, the organizer's stated policy governs the event, to the extent permitted by law.
Platform fees
When a refund is issued, any third-party payment-processing charges and the Pickle Jam platform fee may be non-refundable, depending on the reason for the refund. As a general rule, if an organizer cancels an event, the platform fee is refunded along with the registration; if a registrant cancels, the registration may be refunded per the organizer's policy while the platform fee may be retained.
How to request a refund
To request a refund, first contact the event organizer through the event page. If you cannot reach the organizer or believe a charge is incorrect, email hello@picklejam.com with your registration details and we will help mediate. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method; the time to appear on your statement depends on your bank or card issuer.
Cancelled or changed events
If an event is cancelled, you are generally entitled to a refund of your registration. If an event's date, location, or format changes materially, the organizer will communicate options, which may include a refund. Nothing in this policy limits any refund rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law.
